Just a quick note to all our employees and clients at Outsourcing Things Done, that Monday, October 25, 2010 is a Special Non-Working Holiday for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections as per Proclamation No.48 declared by the President of the Philippines.

The official statement is below:

MALACAÑAN PALACE

MANILA

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

PROCLAMATION NO. 48

DECLARING MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2010 AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010;

WHEREAS, it is imperative that the people be given the fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right to vote;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare October 25, 2010, Monday, as a special (non-working) holiday throughout the country.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 6th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
